Strategic Research and Planning

The Trust for Public Land (TPL)

Developed a three-year strategic plan to guide the Oregon organization in its efforts to expand conservation programs, acquire land outside of the Portland metro area, increase the organization's visibility throughout the state and boost fundraising income.

"Beyond the act of writing a plan, to which Kathy contributed greatly, the more challenging aspect of the project was uniting staff, volunteers and partners around a focused agenda. I could not have asked for better and more professional help with this. By the end of a relatively short process, Kathy had integrated us. It's been invaluable in helping us make important decisions about resource allocation and our commitments. Many thanks to Kathy for the wonderful and timely work — she's loads of fun to work with too!"

Geoff Roach , Director, Oregon Field Office

Grant Development

Kids Play Int’l, an initiative of People Helping People International

Consult with this Utah-based organization led by three-time Olympian Tracy Evans on program development and grant writing for youth sports programs in Rwanda and Malawi, Africa.

"Kathy has been incredible to work with and has helped me on so many levels from more clearly defining and molding our programs to building a better board structure. In addition she is a superb person to brainstorm ideas with. I would most certainly refer and highly recommend her expertise to other nonprofit organizations!"

Tracy Evans, Executive Director

Facilitation

City of Bend, Bend 2030 Visioning Project

Facilitated the Well-Planned City Team for a community-wide process intended to guide growth and development in Bend over 25 years. The 16-member team was charged with creating action steps, identifying lead and supporting partners and producing a timeline for nine Key Vision Elements.

"Kathy did an excellent job facilitating the Well-Planned City team of the Bend 2030 Visioning process. There were strong-minded, passionate people in the room, and she was able to keep us on track and focused on our mission, through a series of six intensive, charged meetings. I highly recommend Kathy's facilitation skills for anyone looking to define, hone and advance their board's or organization's values."

Peter Gramlich, former Bend City Councilor
